Zach Burns is the young adults director of Journey Young Adults. He grew up in a Christian household, but never really had invested in it past logically knowing that God existed. That is until 2019, when he was 21, that God spoke to him through the first JYA director, Cameron Spees. God gave him a supernatural release from anxieties and addictions, which inspired him to fully follow after God’s heart. This new life with God was marked by outreaches to evangelize to MSU campus, seeing people physically healed, and reading the whole Bible at least 3 times over.

Being a nerd at heart, he enjoys board games, video games, and everything in between. He also enjoys creating spaces for friends to gather, going to the gym, and the occasional unreasonably lengthy ruck. Becoming the young adults director at 28, Zach now has the privilege of leading the group that’s been such a staple in his young adult life. He aspires to encourage young adults to grow in practical disciplines to get out of their own way, so God may have free reign in their lives.

 

He desires for JYA to always be committed to three things for young adults, being Disciplined in Time, growing Intentional Relationships, and finding God’s Direction for their lives.
