STUDENT MINISTRIES
Realife is the youth ministry of Journey Life Church. We are a community of adventurous, engaging, and encouraging teenagers who love Jesus and love people. Realife consists of a dynamic youth program on Wednesday nights for 6th-12th grade students to encounter God. We are all about helping students realize how amazing Jesus is, creating a life-giving and fun atmosphere, and building community while doing life together in small groups.
Realife Student Ministries is a brilliant opportunity for students to be in a positive peer environment, to talk about real life issues, and to learn about Jesus in a way that will empower them to live life to the fullest.
Vanessa Phillips
YOUTH PASTOR
Vanessa Phillips is the youth pastor of ReaLife student ministries. She grew up in Las Vegas, NV and was a part of a school of ministry after high school. She moved to Phoenix, AZ when she was 21 years old to do youth ministry and young adult ministry. She met her husband Shawn when she was 26 years old and they were married a year later in 2015. They have a 5 year old daughter named Kailyn and an almost 1 year old daughter named Emily have been married for 7 years. Vanessa is ordained as a minister with the Assemblies of God and has her bachelors degree in pastoral ministry from Evangel University. Vanessa is passionate about seeing the next generation transformed by the power of Jesus. She is passionate about growing leaders and teaching students how to be leaders for Jesus within their world.
